How the Same Writing Move Helps Me Start an Edit, Move Faster, and Spot Holes

Follow along with my video by pulling up the full script here.

I write the part that ONLY involves me to start each episode of Unthinkable (the cold open). And because I can write it in full and lightly perform it out loud to ensure it's right, I can now hear the edit and feel the performance -- as well as experience creative flow from the very start of my editing time.

This informs the rest of my approach, which might span several days (so I can just return to the cold open on Day 2, re-read it, and snap back into flow). This approach also leads me to spot holes in the script more easily, while not entirely derailing my momentum.
